1.1 Information You Provide

  • Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password.
  • Profile & Preferences: Dietary preferences, health goals, calorie targets, age, gender, and cooking style selections you set within the app.
  • Payment Information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment details are processed by our third-party payment processor (Stripe). OTTIO does not store full card numbers.
  • Communications: Messages or support requests you send to us.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage Data: Pages and features accessed, time spent in the app, interactions with recipes and meal plans.
  • Device Information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and IP address.
  • Log Data: Error logs, crash reports, and diagnostic information to help us improve reliability.

1.3 Third-Party Integrations

When you connect third-party services (such as Kroger for grocery shopping), we receive access tokens and limited account information needed to fulfill that integration. We do not store your third-party passwords.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve our Services
  • Personalize your experience and generate AI-powered recommendations
  • Process transactions and manage your subscription
  • Send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset)
  • Respond to your support requests and communications
  • Monitor and analyze usage patterns to improve product quality
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues or fraudulent activity

3. AI & Data Processing

Our apps use AI models (including Amazon Bedrock and other cloud AI services) to generate meal plans, recipes, and personalized recommendations. Your preferences and profile data are sent to these services to generate responses. We do not sell your data to AI providers for training purposes.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

  • Service Providers: Trusted third parties that help us operate our Services (e.g., cloud hosting, payment processing, analytics). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred. We will notify you of any such change.

Our Services are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately at privacy@ottio.app and we will delete it.

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS), encrypted storage, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

Our Services may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services (e.g., Kroger, Stripe). This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
